The Buffadoo set includes a masterfully crafted blowpipe and a sturdy tong/poker with a matching stand. The blowpipe has a leather handle and a silicone mouthpiece and is used to feed oxygen into the OFYR and, once lit, to fan the flames and minimize smoke production. The tongs/poker make it easier to add wood to the burning fire.

Optimal use of your Buffadoo

For the best use of your Ofyr cooking units, watch the product videos with tips for use and choose the location of your stove carefully. The Buffadoo (blowpipe) makes it much easier to light the fire by adding oxygen and also keeps the initial smoke down - simply blow air into the center of the flames using the blowpipe. The practical barbecue tongs help to keep the glowing charcoal and the new logs in the right place at all times.

TIP: Choose the right firewood!

To get the best results from your barbecue, the right firewood is also important: only use dry wood - a slow-burning hardwood such as beech or ash is ideal. Tropical wood burns too hot and can damage the hotplate. Wet wood is difficult to light and causes an unnecessary amount of smoke. Do not use logs that are too large so that the air can circulate well and always stack with the bark facing upwards. Ideally, as in the video, stack the logs in a block shape and light them in the middle. This allows the oxygen to circulate optimally.

Cleaning and maintenance

The Buffadoos are made of aluminum and steel and have a leather handle. The metal parts can be cleaned carefully with a sponge and mild detergent if necessary. Be careful not to scratch the metal coating. If rust and corrosion do occur on a tool over time due to damage to the coating, it can be carefully sanded off.
