In keeping with Weisdorf's design philosophy, the light can be directed upwards, beamed downwards or used as asymmetrical artificial lighting without revealing the light source . The foundation of the lamp is formed by two cylindrical shapes, which are enclosed by a metal ring and anchor the two quarter-spherical shades.
