The soft, waterproof Soft Cover Black cover can be used in combination with the snuffer and protective cover. Always turn off your OFYR with the snuffer and wait for it to cool down before putting on the protective cover. The cover can then be put on to protect not only the cooking surface but also the cone from the elements. Oil your hob regularly to prevent rust formation.
The set includes a Snuffer Black 100 mute and a Soft Cover Black 100 cover for use with OFYR 100s.

The optimal use of your lid

Once your Ofyr has cooled down and oiled again after grilling, you can cover it with the appropriate lid with a diameter of 85 or 100cm until the next round of grilling. This extends over the edge, aesthetically covers the grill and protects the Ofyr from rain. However, it is more sensitive to deformation and should not be placed directly on the hot grill, in contrast to the extinguishing lid. This smaller, handy snuffer in the right size for your Ofyr is used at the end of each round of grilling to safely extinguish the fire. Since it doesn't have to cover the fire bowl precisely, it can tolerate high heat and deformations better.

Cleaning and maintenance

The black-coated steel of the lid is best cleaned with warm water and gentle detergents to avoid damaging the coating.

It is possible that the lid may develop small deformations or rust spots over time due to heat or mechanical damage, but this does not affect its function. Small damage to the coating can also be repaired with black repair paint, which is available separately, to prevent rust.
