It all started with wallpaper

- or rather with a lack of it. When Trine Andersen moved into a house with her husband in 2005, they simply couldn't find any wallpaper that met their expectations. But they wanted their new home to be perfect. After all, for the Danish couple, a home was and is far more than just a collection of beautiful objects - they see it more as a place of balance, with enough space for the "contrasts of life".

Andersen went to the drawing board, started creating her own wallpaper designs and discovered a hidden talent. This prompted her to take a further step: she had one of the designs made and travelled to a trade fair in Denmark - the birth of FERM LIVING. Today, the company offers a wide range of "hyggelig" furniture and accessories - from breakfast crockery to textiles & carpets to sofas & armchairs.
