The optimal use of your Ofyr
It is best to note the product video with user tips for the OFIR for optimal use and carefully choose the stand of your stove. Some terrace coverings are sensitive to the inevitable oil drops or splashes when grilling.
TIP: Choose the right firewood!
In order to have an optimal result when grilling, the right firewood is also important: Use only dry wood - a slowly burning hardwood such as beech or ash is ideal. Tropical wood burns too hot and may damage the hotplate. Wet wood is difficult to light and causes a lot of smoke. Do not use too big notes so that the air can circulate well and always stack up with the bark. Ideal as in the video, the wood is to be stacked in a block of blocks and light in the middle. So the oxygen can optimally circulate. By the way, with the Buffadoo you can light it up and keep the first smoke below.

Cleaning and maintenance
All parts of the Ofyr are made of high -quality solid steel. Due to its large weight, it is stable and can be used outside all year round - also for winter barbecues. Like most other grills, it does not have to be stored in the cold season, but remains an attractive eye -catcher in the winter garden.
The Ofyr cover prevents rain, snow or leaves from getting into the fire bowl. Otherwise, the cone should be emptied regularly so that no additional rust is created by constantly damp wood or leaves inside the fire bowl. Please never put the coated black lid on a still hot grill - this could lead to the deformation or damage to the coating and thus rust. In general, the black surface must be treated and cleaned a little more carefully than that of the Corten grill. The grill area is easy to keep clean: forget to forget cleaning actions as with classic grills. After ending the grilling, it is enough to put the small remnants on the plate into the embers with the spatula. After cooling, the plate only needs to be wiped off. Oxen helps to protect against corrosion! The teak cutting board remains nice for a particularly long time if you protect it from excessive rain and store inside in the wet/cold season.
Tip: In order for the fire ring to be a long time when grilling, it must be burned in before the first use. This creates a patina that protects the plate from rust and corrosion and burn the food from burning! In addition, burning removes traces of production residues before use. The best method is to burn up with oil (the usual burning sensation with potatoes is strongly discouraged today): on the clean grill, heat -resistant vegetable oil is distributed with a kitchen paper. Then the grill is heated up over several hours until a black patina is created. During the burning, the plate is rubbed again and again with oil. Please never clean the grill with detergent! This removes the patina so that the grill area has to be burned again! After cleaning with the spatula, wash the grill surface and oil again with a cloth until the next use.
If you care properly, the grill plate should actually not set a rust, but if rust spots are created there, this is no need to worry: Depending on the strength, carefully remove the rust with a pot cleaner or with a metal polier on the drill It is best to reject a slightly warm plate again! Then you will enjoy your Ofyr for many years!
