TRIBÙ HEXAGON SIDE TABLE
The “Giants Causeway” - a rock formation in Northern Ireland inspired designer Marc Merckx to create the Tribù Hexagon collection. You can see around 40,000 uniformly shaped basalt columns, which are estimated to be over 60 million years old. About half of these stone pillars have a hexagonal cross-section. The creation is attributed to the cooling of hot lava - Merckx incorporated this detail into the table tops made of glazed lava stone with a "craking effect". Another source of inspiration is the perfect symmetry of the honeycomb.
Hexagon is available in two heights - use the small table as a solo or in a group. Also choose from four table top colors: Linen, Moss, Burgundy and Ocean.

By using teak wood or glazed lava stone for the table top, the hexagonal table is not only particularly delicate, but also extremely durable.
The high-quality, weatherproof materials are ideal for outdoor use - Hexagon requires little maintenance and is designed for year-round use in the garden.

Optimal use and maintenance
All furniture in the Hexagon collection is extremely easy to maintain thanks to its teak frame and glazed lava stone table tops and is also suitable for use in harsh, salty climates such as by the sea or by the swimming pool.
The teak used comes from plantations on the Indonesian Java Island and is hand-picked during the tree cutting process.
Glazed lava stone is a unique, masterfully crafted material that beautifully enhances the natural aspect of lava stone. It combines the strength of lava stone with the benefits of glazes. Thanks to the high density of lava stone, it can be used in large pieces. Because it was once molten lava, the high temperatures required for glazing cannot harm it. The glaze makes the material highly water-, frost-, heat-, stain- and UV-resistant. The material has a high chemical resistance and requires virtually no care. Tribù opted for a subtle crackle effect. Since it is a natural product, aesthetic imperfections are inherent to the material. Every table top made of glazed lava stone is therefore different. Unique and attractive.
Cleaning and maintenance
Teak wood: Treat new teak wood with Tribù's “Teak Protector” 4 to 6 weeks after first use. This leaves an invisible layer, which prevents stains and green deposits. Dirty teak can be cleaned with the “Teak Super Cleaner” from Tribù. Allow the furniture to dry completely and then apply the “Teak Protector” again. To avoid labor-intensive cleaning, you can also treat the wood with Tribù’s “Teak Sealer”. Simply cleaning with water and a pH-neutral soap will last for many years. Teak Sealer contains UV protection to slow graying and a fungicide to prevent mold from forming.
Glazed lava stone: Clean the table top with water and a pH-neutral soap. Stubborn stains can be removed with the “Glass & Ceramic Cleaner” from Tribù. The “Ceramic Protector” from Tribù can also be used to protect the table top - this provides a highly water- and dirt-repellent coating on the ceramic top. This makes it brighter, smoother and even easier to clean.
