The design of the Multi-Lite floor lamp dates back to 1972 and is a masterpiece by the Danish architect Louis Weisdorf. His goal was to embody his passion for diversity in the form of a light object . Thanks to the unique structure, the two opposing outer shades can be individually rotated and arranged in a variety of combinations . This encourages personal installations and forms of expression , entirely according to one's own wishes .

In keeping with Weisdorf's design philosophy, the light can be directed upwards, beamed downwards or used as asymmetrical artificial lighting without revealing the light source . The foundation of the lamp is formed by two cylindrical shapes, which are enclosed by a metal ring and anchor the two quarter-spherical shades.
