Libeco is a Belgian family-owned company that has specialized in the production of high-quality linen fabrics since 1858. Over more than 160 years, the brand has evolved into an internationally recognized specialist in Belgian Linen™. Knowledge of flax, yarns, weaving techniques, and finishing processes has been passed down from generation to generation and remains the foundation of the brand to this day.

All of Libeco’s linen fabrics are produced at the company’s own weaving mill in Belgium. There, modern looms are combined with artisanal expertise and exceptionally meticulous quality control. Each fabric is inspected meter by meter and, if necessary, repaired by hand. This results in textiles with a distinctive surface, high durability, and a natural, vibrant texture.

The Libeco Home collection features high-quality home textiles for virtually every living space. This includes bedding, bedspreads, pillows, throws, tablecloths, napkins, kitchen towels, bath towels, rugs, bags, and decorative home accessories. The collections are characterized by natural colors, understated patterns, and timeless designs. This allows the products to blend seamlessly into modern, classic, or rustic interiors.

Libeco uses high-quality European flax. The best growing regions are located in the coastal area between northern France, Belgium, and the Netherlands. The climate there—with mild temperatures and a balanced mix of sun and rain—creates ideal conditions for particularly fine and durable flax fibers.

Libeco Home products bear the internationally protected Belgian Linen seal. This guarantees that the fabric was manufactured in Belgium and consists primarily of European flax fibers. In addition, Libeco carries the Masters of Linen seal, which certifies that the entire production process—from flax to the finished fabric—takes place in Europe and that production methods are transparent and traceable.

Sustainability is a central component of the company’s philosophy. Flax requires relatively few resources, and nearly every part of the plant can be reused. Libeco deliberately keeps its production in the region, has been operating in a carbon-neutral manner since 2014, and develops, among other things, certified organic linen collections. The high quality and durability of the fabrics are also designed to ensure that the products can be used for many years to come.

Linen has unique natural properties. The fabric is breathable, regulates temperature, and absorbs moisture. At the same time, high-quality linen becomes softer with each use and wash without losing its characteristic texture.
